Ex- Admiralty Cheverton 24, originally commissioned into service as a rescue support boat onboard the Type 21 frigate HMS AVENGER which was in the Falklands. After service she was sent to Portsmouth in 1986 and likely converted to a diving support boat. She was then bought by Suttons & Smith at Great Wakering and remained in their yard until July 1999. Joy Fox was owned by the Ryder family for many years and under their ownership was the subject of a comprehensive refit in late the eighties before cruising the Med, Carribean and American coast.
